- Experience in organic chemistry is preferred.
- Experience as a peptide production chemist is preferred.
- Proficiency with all peptide manufacturing stages is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment such as commercial-scale reactors is preferred.
- Advanced PC knowledge, including planning tools, is required.
- Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Support the Director of Production by strategically allocating resources and optimizing workflows to meet production timelines, quality standards, and output targets.
- Oversee all aspects of GMP-compliant manufacturing, including safety, product quality, regulatory adherence, and overall operational performance.
- Contribute to the introduction of new products and technologies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
- Manage and develop production teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management for peptide and/or oligo manufacturing.
- Collaborate with Production and supporting departments, including Supply Chain, Materials Management, QC, and QA, to ensure necessary resources are available and effectively utilized.
- Supervise, address, and resolve issues arising at all peptide manufacturing stages, including synthesis, cleavage, purification, reconstitution, and lyophilization.
- Supervise in-process analysis in all manufacturing stages, including USP or DSP stages.
- Assign tasks to team members and follow up on their completion.
- Ensure written procedures, including SOPs and BPRs, and cGMP guidelines are followed to meet quality standards.
- Review and complete cGMP documentation.
- Adhere to manufacturing schedules and timelines.
- Propose technical and chemical improvements to the manufacturing process.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of instruments, raw materials, and other resources.
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- At least 8 years of experience as a production chemist in a cGMP environment is preferred.
